Looking for Photography Westland MI?
My twin sister and I were just 6 years old when we started art classes on Saturdays at the Toledo Museum of Art. After class we took turns deciding which exhibits to look at. My favorites were the "glass" and "Ancient". Our move to Westland MI ended the art lessons, but they were replaced by trips to Greenfield Village, where my curiosity for glass and clay continued to grow.
Glass beads are usually categorized by the method used to manipulate the glass - wound beads, drawn beads, and molded beads. There are composites, such as millefiori beads, where cross-sections of a drawn glass cane are applied to a wound glass core.
Studio glass or glass sculpture is the modern use of glass as an artistic medium to produce sculptures or two-dimensional artworks. Specific approaches include stained glass, working glass in a torch flame, glass bead making, glass casting, glass fusing, and, most notably, glass blowing.
As a wedding photographer my tools were 35mm and medium format film cameras. I traveled screaming and kicking into the world of digital photography. Technological advances have changed they way we take and develop pictures. But your inner eye, vision and composition techniques will always be your own!
